Kenai - Community Spotlight

With a little more industrial feel than neighboring Soldotna, the city of Kenai is still a great choice for those wanting “Alaska” while still having easy access to shopping and city conveniences. Situated on the mouth of the great Kenai River, this city offers stunning mountain vistas (featuring views of three active volcanoes), a commercial airport, an active theater scene, a baseball team, and a great opportunity to participate in the annual subsistence salmon harvest (locally referred to as dip netting). Kenai is a hub for both the fishing industry and the oil and gas industry.
